Already headlined by Daniel Cormier vs. Stipe Miocic II, the UFC is pulling out all the stops for their Anaheim return, UFC 241.
According to a report from ESPN’s Ariel Helwani, a welterweight bout between Nate Diaz and Anthony Pettis is in the works for the August 17 event.

Diaz has not competed since his UFC 202 headlining rematch against “The Notorious” Conor McGregor. The 34-year-old fan-favorite was scheduled to fight Dustin Poirier last November at UFC 218, but Poirier withdrew due to injury and Diaz’s interest in fighting on the card faded.
Pettis is coming off of one of the biggest wins in his illustrious career, as he defeated Stephen “Wonderboy” Thompson via vicious knockout in the UFC Nashville headliner this past March.
