Henry Cejudo shares terms for potential rematch with TJ Dillashaw

Henry Cejudo, UFC 238

Henry Cejudo needed just 32 seconds to defend his UFC flyweight title against UFC bantamweight champ TJ Dillashaw in Saturday night’s UFC Brooklyn main event. Unfortunately for him, some members of the MMA community — Dillashaw and UFC President Dana White included — feel the referee intervened a little too early in this fight.

Give the controversial stoppage in this fight, TJ Dillashaw has been adamant that he deserves a rematch with Henry Cejudo — and once again for Cejudo’s UFC flyweight title.

Speaking post-fight, Cejudo conceded that he would give Dillashaw a rematch, but not at flyweight. He now wants to fight the bantamweight champion for his title in the bantamweight division.

“I gave him the opportunity [to fight for my title],” Cejudo stated (via Sherdog). “I wanted to add to my legacy. I fought in the Olympics. If he wants a rematch, let’s do it at 135 pounds, let’s fight for your title and let me keep mine. I would have to talk to Dana and my team, but I’m the guy with the gold.”

“This win was not just for me but for every flyweight out there,” Cejudo added. “I put them on the map tonight. I know you don’t accept it, but I beat the baddest bantamweight of all-time. I stopped him.”

Do you think Henry Cejudo and TJ Dillashaw should rematch in the bantamweight division?
