UFC on FOX 29 Athlete Outfitting Payouts: Justin Gaethje takes home just $3,500
UFC on FOX 29 went down last night live from Gila River Arean in Glendale, Arizona.
The event was headlined by a key lightweight fight featuring surging division contender Dustin Poirier taking on former World Series of Fighting title holder Justin Gaethje.
The highly anticipated Poirier vs. Gaethje main event lived up to expectations as the hard hitting lightweights went back and forth for the better part of sixteen minutes until the “The Diamond” was eventually able to put Gaethje away with punches in round four.
Last night’s Poirier vs. Gaethje main event is already being touted as a possible “Fight of the year” candidate.
Dustin Poirier took home $20,000 in UFC Athlete Outfitting Pay for his tremendous effort at UFC on FOX 29.
Unfortunately, Poirier’s opponent Justin Gaethje only recieved $3,500 in UFC Athlete Outfitting Pay.
Thankfully, both Poirier and Gaethje each recieved $50,000 bonuses after receiving “fight of the night” honors.
Veteran middleweight Tim Boetsch also received an event-high $20,000 in UFC Athlete Outfitting Pay. “The Barbarian” suffered a first-round submission loss to Antonio Carlos Junior in the featured preliminary bout.
