This past Saturday UFC on FOX 18 went down from the Prudential Center in Newark New Jersey.

The preliminary card was headlined by Tarec Saffiedine vs. Jake Ellenberger which saw Saffiedine return to the win column and pick up a unanimous decision win.

The main card featured several high profile bouts. First we saw Bryan Barberena end the undefeated streak of Sage Northcutt with a 2nd round submission win. Then we saw Jimmie Rivera extend his win streak to 17 as he picked up a decision win over Iuri Alcantara. In the co-main event Ben Rothwell became the first man to submit Josh Barnett. Last but not least, in the main event Anthony Johnson demolished Ryan Bader via KO in just 86 seconds.

Unfortunately given how quick the main event was it didn’t give viewership a chance to build up. Regardless the event averaged 2,685,000 viewers according to MMAMania, down from 2.8 million viewers from UFC on FOX 17.
