The UFC will be returning to Canada on October 27th and for the first time ever they will be touching down in the city of Moncton.
After the UFC recently announced the headliner between top light heavyweight contenders, Volkan Oezdemir and Anthony Smith, they have given us a couple more pairings at 205-pounds.
The first being another top 15 matchup as the No. 10 Misha Cirkunov returns to face off with No. 13 Pat Cummins. The second fight addition being Gian Villante vs the also returning longtime UFC veteran Ed “Short Fuse” Herman.

In terms of other weight classes, a bout between Gavin Tucker vs Andre Soukhamthath at bantamweight has also been reported as in the works for the card by FloCombat.
Other fights looking to take place at UFC Moncton include the following:
Heavyweight – 207-265lbs: Arjan Bhullar vs Marcelo Golm
Bantamweight – 135lbs: Sarah Moras vs Talita Bernardo
Lightweight – 155lbs: Thibault Gouti vs Nasrat Haqparast
Canada’s Cirkunov hasn’t fought since December 2017 when he suffered a first-round TKO loss to Glover Teixeira. Prior to that, he had his eight-fight winning streak snapped by Volkan Oezdemir in just 28-seconds.
Having now lost two in a row for the first time in his UFC career as well as career overall, Cirkunov will have to get through the also rebounding Cummins.
Cummins last fought in April when he got outmatched by the surging Ultimate Fighter season 19 winner Corey Anderson.
As for the other light heavyweight clash that was added, Villante too is in desperate need of a win as he has gone 3-5 since 2015 with no of those wins coming back to back.
His opponent, Herman has been recovering from injury since his July 2017 loss to CB Dollaway and looks to snap a two-fight losing streak of his own
