This Sunday – yes, that’s Sunday, not Saturday – the UFC will return to beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia with UFC Fight Night 105. Here’s everything you need to know about the UFC Halifax fight card!
Originally, this card was expected to be headlined by an interesting heavyweight rematch between former champion Junior Dos Santos and towering Dutchman Stefan Struve. When Struve was forced out of the fight with an injury however, a heavyweight bout pairing Derrick Lewis with Travis Browne was transplanted from UFC 208 and made Halifax’s new main event. Dos Santos was later pencilled in for a title fight with heavyweight champ Stipe Miocic – so it all worked out for him.
While Browne and Lewis will fill the main event spot, the co-main event will see struggling former welterweight champion Johny Hendricks take on former Bellator middleweight king Hector Lombard, who is also enduring a rough stretch.
Elsewhere on the card, we’ll see Sam Sicilia take on Gavin Tucker, Elias Theodorou take on Cezar “Mutante” Ferreira, Nordine Taleb take on Santiago Ponzinibbio, Paul Felder take on Alessandro Ricci, and former strawweight champ Carla Esparza take on Randa Markos.
Here’s a full rundown of the 11-bout UFC Halifax fight card. At the time of this writing, the card’s bout order has not yet been announced. We will update this article when it has been.
