The octagon returned to Rio de Janairo, Brazil last night for the promotions UFC 224 pay-per-view event.
The thirteen-bout fight card was headlined by a women’s bantamweight title fight featuring current champion Amanda Nunes defending her title against surging contender Raquel Pennington.
For her efforts, Nunes received an event high $40,000 in UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance.
The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance program includes outfitting requirements, media obligations and other items under the fighter code of conduct. The program recently replaced the previous UFC Athlete Outfitting payouts.
Raquel Pennington would take home $30,000 in defeat, while MMA legends Vitor Belfort and Lyoto Machida took home $20,000 each for their respective efforts last night.
