UFC 223 Athlete Outfitting Payouts

The octagon returned to Brooklyn, New York last night for the promotions UFC 223 pay-per-view fight card.

The nine-bout fight card was headlined by a lightweight title fight featuring undefeated Russian standout Khabib Nurmagomedov taking on streaking contender Al Iaquinta.

“The Eagle” would extended his undefeated record to 26-0 and capture the UFC’s undisputed lightweight crown by earning a unanimous decision victory over the very game “Raging Al”.

Both men, Khabib Nurmagomedov and Al Iaquinta, took home $30,000 in UFC Athlete Outfitting Pay for their respective efforts last night.

The co-main event of UFC 223 featured a women’s strawweight title fight rematch between reigning champ Rose Namajunas and former title holder Joanna Jedrzejczyk.

The rematch was nothing short of thrilling, but in the end “Thug Rose” once again emerged victorious this time by way of judges decision (49-46 x3).

Namajunas took home an event high $40,000 in UFC Athlete Outfitting Pay for her first title defense, while Joanna took home $30,000 in defeat.
