A scrap between Andre Fili and Calvin Kattar kicked off tonight’s UFC 214 televised prelims from Anaheim, California.

Round one begins and Fili presses forward pumping a left jab. Kattar swings and misses with a wild right. More pressure from Fili now. He throws a left jab that connects. He lands a body kick but Calvin replies with a counter right hand. Kattar with a stiff left jab now. Andre circles and then lands a nice right hand of his own. Fili tries to go upstairs with a head kick but it is blocked by Calvin. Kattar circles and then comes forward with a left jab. Fili replies with a left jab and then a low kick. Kattar replies with a good right hand to the body. Fili circles and then misses with an attempted body kick. Kattar responds with a good left and then a body kick. Fili immediately fires back with a nice combination and then a low kick. Fili continues to pressure but gets caught with a counter left hand from Kattar. Fili with a good punch. He circles and then lands a right low kick. Kattar takes the center of the octagon and then throws a kick to the body. Fili shoots in but Kattar stuffs it. Calvin with a nice uppercut. He shoots in and scores takedown. Nice shots from the top by Kattar. Round one comes to an end.

Round two begins and Fili quickly presses forward with a left hook. Kattar circles but eats a kick to the ribs. Kattar takes the center of the octagon and rips off a nice combination that finishes with a hard right hand. Fili attempts to come forward but Kattar meets him with a left. He scores with a right hand and Fili is in retreat mode. Another left from Kattar. Fili circles out and then throws a body kick. Kattar with a nice left hook. Kattar lands a straight right hand followed by a left. He lands another stiff left jab. Fili circles out and then switches to south paw. Both men connect with left hooks. Calvin switches to southpaw and lands a hard kick to the body of Fili. Kattar with a left hand. Fili responds with a stiff right. Kattar presses forward and lands a huge combination. Round two comes to an end.

Round three begins and Fili lands a nice jab and then another. He presses forward with a kick to the body. Kattar just misses with a spinning roundhouse kick. Kattar and Fili both lands solid left hooks. Kattar with a nice kick to the body. He presses forward and lands a left. Fili circles out but eats an inside leg kick. Another nice counter right hand lands for Calvin. Fili replies with a left kick to the body. Kattar continues to press forward. Calvin lands a left hand. Fili counters with a solid combination that ends in an uppercut. Still, Kattar continues to walk him down. 90 seconds remain. Calvin presses forward and lands a left. He catches a leg kick and takes him down. A couple of good shots from Kattar before the horn sounds to end round three.
