This past weekend, fight fans tuned in to what proved to be a spectacular event, headlined by a thrilling main event scrap between Max Holloway and Jose Aldo. While Aldo settled into a rhythm quickly, and landed early on in the fight, it was Holloway who came alive in the second and third rounds, ultimately finishing the champion in the third round via strikes.

In the co-main event, former UFC women’s strawweight title challenger Claudia Gadelha picked up another big win as she defeated top ranked women’s strawweight contender Karolina Kowalkiewicz via 1st round submission. In addition, the main card of the pay-per view also saw UFC veteran Vitor Belfort snap a lengthy losing streak as he picked up a decision win over Nate Marquardt

In the wake of the event, MMAJunkie has obtained the medical suspensions for the card:

Jose Aldo: Suspended for 45 days with no contact during training for 30 days
Vitor Belfort: Suspended for 21 days with no contact during training for 14 days
Oluwale Bamgbose: Suspended for 45 days with no contact during training for 30 days
Erick Silva: Suspended for 45 days with no contact during training for 30 days
Johnny Eduardo: Suspended 180 days until receiving doctor’s clearance from a right-foot fracture
Jamie Moyle: Suspended for 45 days with no contact during training for 30 days
Jim Wallhead: Suspended 180 days until receiving doctor’s clearance from an eye injury
Marco Beltran: Suspended for 45 days with no contact during training for 30 days

In addition to the fighters mentioned above, those not mentioned such as newly crowned featherweight champion Max Holloway, received the minimum required 14 day medical suspension, and will be eligible to return to the Octagon on June 17th.

Similarly, many fighters who receive lengthier suspensions end up returning to the Octagon sooner than expected.
