UFC 211 takes place on May 13 as the heavyweight title fight between champion Stipe Miocic and Junior dos Santos will headline the card taking place in Dallas, Texas. Miocic will look to defend his title and avenge a 2014 loss to dos Santos while “Cigano” will look to get back the heavyweight crown.
MMA Junkie reported on Tuesday that two late bouts were confirmed for the card, bringing UFC 211 14 confirmed fights. Dallas News first reported that Dallas’s own Rashad Coulter will make his UFC debut against Chase Sherman. MMA Junkie also confirmed Joachim Christensen and Gadzhimurad Antigulov will meet in the Octagon as both late confirmed fights will take place on the UFC Fight Pass prelims.
UFC 211 also features big matchups that could lead to future title fights. Rising star Yair Rodriguez will look to climb the ranks as he takes on former UFC lightweight champion and current #2 UFC ranked featherweight Frankie Edgar. #3 ranked welterweight Demian Maia and #5 ranked Jorge Masvidal will settle their business in the Octagon. Also on the card, former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez will look to bounce back from his loss to Conor McGregor as he takes on Dustin Poirier.
