TJ Dillashaw has been angling for a rematch with the man who took his bantamweight belt, Dominick Cruz, ever since narrowly losing it to the “Dominator” this past January in Boston.
Dillashaw took to Instagram on Wednesday to call out the newly crowned champ and did not mince words in doing so!
Dillashaw most recently defeated Raphael Assunção at UFC 200 and is looking for a rematch with Cruz by any possible means. TJ’s venomous Instagram post was captioned:
“Still no response to my bet, proves my point that Cruz is a scared little bitch and (is) trying to avoid this fight however he can. Can’t just ignore this and expect it to go away, so runlittle bitch, run. Say it with ya chest. #kevinhart Who wants to bet he tries to retire before fighting me again? #100k #whereyouat
Cruz defeated Dillashaw in January in a closely contested decision. Both men had their moments in the fight, and a rematch certainly makes sense given the fact that Dillashaw has rebounded with a victory over a top three bantamweight in Assunção.
Prior to losing the title, Dillashaw was on a tear in the UFC, battering and TKOing former champ Renan Barao twice and taking home a performance of the night bonus in his highlight reel head kick knockout of Joe Soto at UFC 177.
No word yet on who Cruz will defend his 135 pound belt against next.
