There has been quite a bit of buzz surrounding a potential return to competition for former UFC light heavyweight champion Chuck Liddell.
There was talk from his longtime coach John Hackleman saying his blessing would depend on who the opponent is and Liddell himself did not give a definitive answer on if we will be seeing him fight again. There was also the lunch meeting between Bellator boss Scott Coker and Lidell. More speculation grew when Liddell posted a photo of him and longtime rival Tito Ortiz in a staredown photo they took together where Liddell said in the caption, “Why not?”
Tito responded with a snarky comment on Twitter saying, “@Chuckliddell because I don’t need the money. Suck that you need the money. I can lend you some cash if so.”

Liddell cut into Ortiz for his comment with a lengthy reply and brought up his past.
“We took the pic as requested by the media,” Liddell tweeted. “You knew I was going to post it, u posed for it. I heard you changed for the better but with your lack of class and character i knew it was impossible. Some encouraged me to give you a shot saying Amber changed u. Judging from your tweet you’re still the same piece of shit I’ve punked on numerous occasions. Now we know who the real trash was, you can’t blame @jennacantlose any more. Man up! Now let me borrow some money bitch. Where should we meet up I need it soon!”

Following Liddell’s post aimed at Ortiz and his character, “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” actually followed up with an apology.
Ortiz tweeted, “.@ChuckLiddell you are correct I was wrong with my reply.I said something that night after the pic was posted on pure emotion. #MyBad.”
