Earlier this year, former Strikeforce and UFC middleweight Tim Kennedy announced his retirement from MMA. Since then, the former fighter has stayed very busy, and from the sounds of it, he’s about to get more busy. Last week, the former fighter – who has extensive history in the United States Military – uploaded a fiery post to Instagram, promising to deliver vengeance on ISIS.
“Dear ISIS,” he said in this post. “If you are lucky enough to kill a Special Forces operator, the possibility of us dropping the biggest non-nuclear bomb ever made on you should be the least of your concerns. There is a vengeance and wrath associated with the loss of one of our brothers. May God have mercy on your soul because we are coming and we will have none to give. Sincerely, The U.S. Military.”

As it turns out, Kennedy’s address of ISIS was not an idle threat. The former fighter has reenlisted in the US Army Special Forces and is prepared to take action against the enemies of the United States.
He explained this decision in an interview on Fox News, which can be viewed in full at the top of this post.
“They’re a bunch of cowards,” Kennedy said of ISIS. “They’re a bunch of pathetic humans that have no similarities to any of the things that we value or love, like human life. They prey on the weak, they prey on the helpless, whereas we’re the protectors of those. The stark contrast between us – I don’t understand how they even exist and how we’re the same species. So when they go and kill one of my brothers, they gotta know that the biggest bomb ever built is the least of their concern.”
“I have hope again,” Kennedy said of his decision to reenlist. “The military, we got our teeth back.”
“We have a reinvigorated, beautiful, hopeful military that is proud to be back on the team,” he continued. “So I jumped out of a helicopter last weekend, I raised my hand, I said I will defend the constitution, because I’ve got people that will back me now. We’re here to do work, we’re here to win a war that we’ve been fighting and just holding onto for 16 years, and that’s about to change.”
