Another heavyweight tilt has been added to UFC 164 in Milwaukee, as it was announced that undefeated UFC newcomer Nikita Krylov (14-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will meet Soa “The Hulk” Palelei (18-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) at the Bradley Center on August 31.
The undefeated Ukrainian heavyweight, Krylov, has won all 14 of his fights by way of first round stoppage. Krylov went 11-0 in 2012, this despite not having his first fight until July. Nine of Krylov’s 14 wins have come by form of submission, however, his 3 most recent wins have come by way of KO or TKO.
Australian heavyweight, Soa Palelei, has won eight fights in a row, most recently scoring a win over former UFC heavyweight Sean McCorkle in December. “The Hulk” was set to make his octagon return at UFC 161 in Winnipeg against Stipe Miocic, however, Miocic instead was booked to fight Roy Nelson, leaving Soa without an opponent for the June event.
UFC 164 takes place August 31 at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The card now features the following contests:
Josh Barnett vs. Frank Mir
Clay Guida vs. Chad Mendes
Erik Koch vs. Dustin Poirier
