Two suspects have been arrested and charged in connection with the death of former UFC fighter Ryan Jimmo.
Edmonton Police Service confirmed with MMA Fighting on Wednesday that 23-year-old Anthony Getschel was arrested and charged with “second degree murder, criminal negligence causing death, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, and fail to stop at scene of accident involving death.” 21-year-old Jordan Wagner was arrested and charged with “accessory after the fact to murder.”
Jimmo passed away on Sunday due to injuries suffered from being hit by a vehicle earlier that morning. Getschel is believed to be the driver of the vehicle that struck Jimmo.
An EPS spokesperson said that both Getschel and Wagner were in custody.
A court date for the two suspects has not been determined as of yet.
