It did not take long for current Bellator welterweight champion Rory MacDonald to respond to a challenge issued by newly crowned Bellator middleweight champion Gegard Mousasi.
Mousasi called out “The Red King” just moments after defeating Rafael Carvalho via first-round TKO to claim the Bellator middleweight title at last night’s Bellator 200 event in London.
Mousasi expressed his desire to fight MacDonald, this unless Rory decides to “Chicken Out”.
MacDonald, who is coming off a title-earning unanimous decision win over Douglas Lima in January, wasted no time in responding to Mousasi.
@mousasi_mma congratulations on you dominant victory, @ScottCoker @rich_chou i know you wanted a title defense from me before challenging at middle weight. but myself vs @mousasi_mma is the fight to make right now, so lets make this happen!?
