In the opening bout of the UFC 220 main card, bantamweights Thomas Almeida and Rob Font stepped into the cage together in an early frontrunner for Fight of the Night honors. Though Almeida entered this fight as a notable favorite, it was ultimately Font who came out on top.
After a fun first round, the Massachusetts native floored his foe with a blistering right hand. From there, it was only a matter of time before he sealed the deal, forcing the ref’s hand and earning an impressive second-round TKO.
