On March 5th Rafael dos Anjos will put his UFC lightweight title on the line as he faces Conor McGregor in the main event of UFC 196 in Las Vegas.
The fight has many MMA fans split down the middle when it comes to who they believe will win. On one hand McGregor’s dominance inside the Octagon makes it hard to choose against the featherweight champion. However, with that being said dos Anjos has been on a tear recently, showing an improved standup game to go with a dominant ground game.
Ahead of the fight it has been revealed that dos Anjos and his manager requested that Herb Dean referee the fight. Many believe that this is because Dean has a tendency to not stand fighters up when it comes to grappling exchanges.
