VIDEO | UFC veteran Phil Baroni scores a brutal knockout at King of The Cage
Former UFC and PRIDE veteran Phil Baroni turned back the clock at this weekend’s ‘King Of The Cage’ event in Alpine, California scoring a vintage first-round knockout victory over opponent Matt Lagler.
The Baroni vs. Lagler bout took place at middleweight (185-pounds) and served as the event headliner.
The “New York Bad Ass” came out quickly and was able to land a right hand straight up the middle. Phil would promptly follow that strike up with a double leg takedown.
From there, Baroni would immediately begin unleashing some huge right hands from top position. Matt Lagler would attempt to scramble, but Baroni would end up taking full mount where he once again proceeded to drop a plethora of right hands to the face and head of his opponent.
The referee mercifully stepped in and called a stop to the action, thus handing Phil Baroni his fist professional victory since August of 2012.
