A key welterweight bout has been added to Bellator 183 which takes place September 23 in San Jose, California.
As first reported by The Telegraph, knockout artists Paul Daley and Lorenz Larkin will square off when the Bellator cage returns to the SAP Center in just under two months time.
Both men will be looking to rebound after suffering setbacks in their most recent appearances.
Paul Daley suffered a submission loss to former UFC welterweight title challenger Rory MacDonald in his most recent fight this past May in Wembley. Prior to that, “Semtex” had scored an electrifying flying-knee knockout win over Brennan Ward at Bellator 170.
Meanwhile, Lorenz Larkin was most recently seen in action this past June in New York City, where he came up short in his effort to dethrone current Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima. Prior to the setback, “Da Monsoon” had earned a masterful TKO victory over Neil Magny at UFC 202 in August of 2016.
Larkin has gone 4-2 over his past six contests, earning three TKO victories in that span.
The newly announced Larkin vs. Daley matchup should equal fireworks as both men are known for their willingness to stand and bang.
