Paige VanZant Not Opposed to Working With WWE in the Future

It seems that Ronda Rousey may end up having started a trend. Well, she kind of already has as more and more fighters have expressed interest in potentially jumping from the UFC ship to the WWE one day.

The latest to express interest is one of the UFC’s brightest young stars, Paige VanZant.

VanZant has been recovering from a broken arm that she suffered in her last outing which was a loss to Jessica-Rose Clark at UFC St Louis in January. But that didn’t stop her from meeting with the media in London this past week where she discussed what she thought about Rousey’s move to the WWE.

“It’s just another platform for us UFC fighters to make a name for ourselves.I know Ronda is going to do awesome at it, and she’s going to make a name for herself in the WWE. I’m a fighter first and foremost, but if the opportunity ever came knocking, I’m not one to turn opportunities down. I think it’s an amazing organization, and I’d definitely love to work with them.”

A career strawweight in VanZant, her last fight, was her debut at 125-pounds. She was unable to walk away with the win but felt the positive effects of the change in divisions.

“I felt awesome, and that was the biggest thing that was unfortunate for me. It’s how good I felt at that division. I felt great going into it. I felt great fighting at flyweight. And to have to not win the fight because of a broken arm, I threw the punch myself. She didn’t break it. I broke my arm all by myself on her head, so it sucks.

I still definitely think that within the 125-pound division, I’m still eligible for that title shot relatively soon. I know I need to earn it and fight one or two more times, improve myself, but that’s ultimately the goal.”

Who do you think she should fight upon her return? Could you see PVZ in the WWE one day?
