Paige VanZant just announced that her next fight will be for UFC gold.
No this is not a joke.
VanZant, who has gone 1-2 in her past three fights at strawweight, will apparently be receiving a shot at UFC flyweight gold in her next octagon appearance.
Paige took to Twitter just moments ago where she dropped the shocking news.
My next fight is against the winner of the 125 division Ultimate Fighter. Don’t blink.

The UFC will crown it’s inaugural women’s flyweight champion on December 1 at the “TUF 26 Finale” in Las Vegas.
According to Paige, the UFC has offered her a title shot against the winner of that event.
“PVZ” was most recently seen in action in December of 2016 where she suffered a first-round submission loss to Michelle Waterson in the main event of UFC on FOX 22.
Prior to the setback, Paige had scored an amazing head kick knockout victory over Bec Rawlings at UFC on FOX 21 in Vancouver, Canada.
