At UFC 194 Conor McGregor shocked the world and silenced critics everywhere as he knocked Jose Aldo out in just 13 seconds to unify the interim UFC featherweight championship and the UFC featherweight championship.

Following the bout, during his post-fight Octagon interview, McGregor proclaimed to the masses “Precision beats power, and timing beats speed.” The catchphrase quickly caught on among McGregor fans, and was used by many leading up to McGregor’s UFC 196 scrap with Nate Diaz.

Ultimately, Diaz defeated McGregor via 2nd round submission to put an end to McGregor’s undefeated UFC run. In the wake of the bout, the Diaz Brothers Facebook page posted a variation of McGregor’s “Precision beats power, and timing beats speed quote” in pure Diaz style.
