VIDEO | King Mo vs. Rampage Jackson 2 (Highlights)

Rampage Jackson King Mo

Friday night in Rosemont, IL, MMA legend Rampage Jackson stepped into the cage with MMA veteran Mohammad ‘King Mo’ Lawal for a highly anticipated rematch three years in the making.

Going into the fight, King Mo promised to use his wrestling to lay on top of the heavier Rampage for fifteen minutes. Come fight night however, King Mo stayed true to his word as he looked to wrestle Jackson for the full fifteen minutes. Jackson flipped the script in the second round as he began to connect on several punches that appeared to be rocking King Mo. Ultimately, Mo survived the round, and was awarded the unanimous decision win, avenging his 2014 loss to Jackson.

Prior to the fight of course, both Bellator MMA President Scott Coker, and Rampage Jackson himself, confirmed that Jackson’s next fight will take place in the UFC given a contract he signed with the promotion in 2014.

Jackson will now be returning to the UFC on a loss after having a 5-fight win streak snapped by King Mo last night. Jackson’s win-streak spanned back five years, when he picked up a KO win over Joey Beltran in his Bellator MMA debut, snapping a 3-fight skid that saw him go winless in the UFC from 2011 to 2013.

King Mo on the other hand now returns to the win column after being TKOd by Mirko Cro Cop in the 2nd round of the Rizin Grand Prix in 2016, which returned him to the loss column after a win over Satoshi Ishii at Bellator 169 put him back in the win column after his Bellator 154 scrap with Phil Davis in 2016 snapped a 7-fight win streak for the MMA veteran.

Only time will tell what’s next for these two men!
