Mike Perry and Al Iaquinta trade barbs on Twitter

Mike Perry

Following ‘UFC Fight Night: Nashville’ both UFC welterweight Mike Perry and UFC lightweight Al Iaquinta engaged in a rather heated feud.

Iaquinta returned to the UFC at ‘UFC Fight Night: Nashville’ following a 2-year layoff, making a statement in his return fight as he knocked out Diego Sanchez in the first round of their three round scrap. Following the event, Iaquinta put his employers on blast for not giving him a ‘Performance of the Night’ bonus for the win.

'Raging' Al Iaquinta

That didn’t sit too well with Mike Perry, who picked up a massive KO win over Jake Ellenberger on the same card. Perry told Iaquinta to ‘calm down’ on social media, before then explaining in an interview that he was simply offering Iaquinta advice.

That hasn’t gone over very well, and the following Twitter beef ensued:

Mike Perry with one of the best UFC knockouts of 2017

Transcription:
Perry: You complain a lot for a guy who beat Jorge Masvidal. Meet me at 170

Iaquinta: Mike Perry is a great fighter! I pray he never has a potential career ending injury and has to find out the hard way who has his back!

Iaquinta: Mike Perry.. Great fighter! He should really be concentrating on the 170 lb title, Picking on a faster more accurate lightweight… Sad!

Perry: You ain’t say nothing about fighting me tho. It’s cool your roommate says you want nothing to do with 170

Iaquinta: Tell ur girlfriend Dana White take out his checkbook I’ll knock you out hillbilly

Perry: Dana White please let me smash this fool. He talks to much

Iaquinta: Get off your knees you’re embarrassing yourself

Perry: Listen I’m gonna move past this unless they call about the fight. Talking is 1 thing. You too small to show up. I’d crush you

Iaquinta: I don’t give a fuck what you do

Iaquinta: Keep begging Dana, you just might get that call
