UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping is certainly one of the most polarizing figures in MMA. Bisping, who has been on a tear of the UFC’s middleweight division in 2016, is never one to shy away from speaking his mind.

Earlier this month, Bisping stepped into the Octagon in the main event of UFC 204 in Manchester, England, for a highly anticipated rematch with MMA legend Dan Henderson, who was stepping into the Octagon to fight for the final time. The fight was an extremely exciting one, with Henderson coming out of the gate strong, dropping Bisping in both the first and seconds rounds. Throughout the remainder of the fight, the champ continued to land an incredible volume of strikes, ultimately winning the fight via unanimous decision. The scoring for the fight was rather controversial, with many fighters scoring the bout in Henderson’s favor given that he dropped Bisping in both the first and second rounds. Following the fight, both men were praised for what many considered to be one of the best title fights of the year.

Since his win over Henderson, Bisping has been waiting in limbo to find out who the next challenger to his middleweight strap will be. Two middleweight title eliminator fights are currently on tap for November, with Chris Weidman vs. Yoel Romero set to take place at UFC 205 on November 12th, and Luke Rockhold, who Bisping defeated to win the belt, vs. Jacare Souza set for November 27th.

In addition, rumors have been flying that Bisping could end up fighting former UFC welterweight kingpin Georges St-Pierre in the main event of UFC 206 in St-Peirre’s highly anticipated return fight back to the Octagon.

While a potential fight between the two has fans drooling, St-Pierre’s very-public contract disputes with the UFC brass have continued to take unexpected turns, as St-Pierre recently claimed that he is officially a free agent. Despite that, St-Pierre has remained in Las Vegas, while rumors of his return have continued to circulate.
