After Michael Bisping knocked out Luke Rockhold in the main event of UFC 199 to claim the UFC middleweight championship, it was revealed that former UFC welterweight kingpin Georges St-Pierre had reached out to Bisping’s camp for a fight.

Bisping stated that if St-Pierre, who hasn’t fought since 2014, wanted a title shot, all he had to do is sign on the dotted line.

According to GSP’s boxing coach, Freddie Roach, that isn’t true. Roach spoke to Fight Hub TV to discuss the bout:

“Yeah, I do like that fight, but Bisping said no. I know that fight’s not going to happen. He looked really good in training. But the thing is, there are no names out there yet. We haven’t picked anyone or we don’t have a favorite at this point.”

Since the fight was initially brought up, UFC President Dana White also revealed that Bisping will be defending his belt against Dan Henderson first.
