Melvin Guillard has been suspended and fined by the Kansas Athletic Commission after it was revealed that Guillard tested positive for a “non-PED banned substance.”
Ariel Helwani broke the news via twitter saying, “The Kansas AC has suspended the license of Melvin Guillard for one year & fined him $10,000 for testing + for a non-PED banned substance.”

Guillard last fought David Rickels at Bellator 159 in Mulvane, Kansas on July 22 after not making weight. Guillard beat Rickels by KO in the first round in a 158-pound catchweight bout.
