Marc Diakiese recently cemented his name in the minds of MMA fans recently with his 1st round KO win over Temmu Packalen at ‘UFC Fight Night: London’ where he also picked up a highlight reel knockout following a beautiful series of kicks. Following that, the 2-0 UFC prospect engaged in a Twitter beef with UFC veteran Paul Felder, who told the Englishman to sign a contract to fight, or ‘shut up’.
Now, Diakiese has taken aim at Felder in a new interview on The MMA Hour, saying:
“He’s just a f—ing little Irish wannabe, because I don’t even know who he is, he’s just talking crap,” Diakiese said during an appearance on The MMA Hour. “I beat his teammate Frankie [Perez], and now he’s coming forward. Like I said, I don’t mind, I’ll fight anybody, but he’s one of these guys, he’s experienced, he’s a veteran. If I were to beat him, I’d look good.
“I want to smash his face in front of his own people. That’s my plan.”
For Diakiese, he believes that not only would the fight settle his recent beef with Felder, but that it would also be a great stylistic matchup for himself:
“I think that would be a great match-up for me to get out there, to look good in front of his own town, to look good beating him up badly and I come back nicely,”
“His style is standard,” he said. “But I like to win. Even if it means taking you down for three rounds, I will, but I like to win simple as that. And I can’t see him beating me in any way.”
While Diakiese is of course undefeated as a professional, Felder on the other hand has been with the UFC for three years now, going 5-3 throughout his stint with the UFC, most recently defeating Alessandro Ricci via 1st round TKO at ‘UFC Fight Night: Halifax’.
