Veteran UFC welterweight fighter Jake Ellenberger suffered his fourth stoppage loss in a row tonight at the hands of Bryan Barberena.
Barberena was able to hurt Ellenberger with punches in the opening minutes of round one and refused to let up. The always tough “Juggernaut” would eventually fight his way back up to his feet only to be knocked down by another hard right hand from his opponent.
Following the official decision, Jake Ellenberger took to the mic where he announced his retirement from mixed martial arts.
The 33-year-old native of Omaha, Nebraska finishes his career with an overall record of 31-15.
Jake Ellenberger captured wins over Jake Shields, Diego Sanchez, Nate Marquardt, Josh Koscheck and Matt Brown during his fantastic career.
