Gokhan Saki Tries to Get Nate Diaz to Come Back

Nate Diaz smile

After Nate Diaz spit flames on his longest interview since May, the world once again was talking about the Stockton soldier. For over 45 minutes, he talked about everything from Conor McGregor, the UFC’s ‘propaganda machine’, and what it would take to get him back in the Octagon. People have jumped on his quote of ‘ask nicely’ with a Sage Northcutt meme that had Team Alpha Male laughing, now kickboxing vet turned UFC fighter Gokhan Saki has joined the campaign to get Diaz to return to MMA.

“I will fight when I am approached respectively. ‘Will you please fight,’ because things change and you don’t need to fight. I’ve already been fighting too long I’m like man, I don’t need to fight nobody. I’ll fight anybody but I don’t need to fight anybody. You know? And the fighters are like, ‘He’s not a fighter.’ I’m like, it sounds like you’re being manipulated into trying to manipulate me into getting into a fight. I’m like, guess what? You work for somebody, I work for me. Who’s the fighter now, motherf-cker? […] Ask nicely, motherf-ckers. Ask nicely. I’m talking about the organization, the fighters. And make it a big deal, because I’m not trying to just sign a contract just cause it’s a good idea for you guys.” — Nate Diaz speaking on the Outside the Box podcast.

It looks like former K-1 Grand Prix and GLORY light heavyweight champion is a Nate Diaz fan and took his request to be polite to heart. Diaz did tease that he had some plans this year and he’d be keeping an eye on the fights, but at this point, him coming back is just as likely as Conor McGregor. Both are in serious leverage positions and don’t need to fight if they don’t have to. However, it’s still nice for Saki to try and for that, we thank him.
