This week the guest list includes the first WEC Bantamweight Champion, A man looking to stay undefeated June 21 at WSOF 10, the hard hitting Australian strawweight on this upcoming season of TUF, and closing the show is a man who runs The Yard…
Eddie Wineland is kicking things off this show and 30 minutes might not be enough to cover all topics with Eddie. Eddie has been thinking about retirement, but that’s not the focus this show. We will talk with Eddie about his career, the highs & the lows, his future with MMA, and of course his thoughts on the direction of the sport. We also have to catch up with Eddie on how the house is coming along, how Gunnar, Moose, Pumbaa, and the crew are, and bringing back the statche. We will also talk to Eddie about his truck and 6.0 liter daily driver, being in the new EA UFC video game, and how excited he is to become a father. You might hear Eddie on other shows, but you won’t get an interview like this anywhere else but on BJPenn.Com Radio. Follow Eddie on Twitter @EddieWineland
Our next guest Nick Lobosco is undefeated in 7 fights and will put that on the line Junes 21 at World Series of Fighting 10 against Lance Palmer. Nick is not only a fighter, but a mentor and coach to his High School wrestling team. We will talk to Nick about his time wrestling in college and how it has helped him with not only coaching his team, but inside the cage as well. We will talk to Nick about being a part of the main card, against a guy like Lance and how he feels their styles match up. Nick is known to finish fights and I’m sure he has no plans on changing that, this fight. We will also talk to Nick about the recent rise of his team and teammates on the MMA world, cause St. Charles MMA is coming up. Make sure to tune in as this featherweight is ready to pick up another win and get one step closer to his ultimate goals in the sport. Follow Nick on Twitter @NickLoBosco
Second hour and it’s time to get TUF! ‘Rowdy’ Bec Rawlings is on the show straight from sunny San Diego and Alliance MMA. Bec is known for her in your face fighting style, and awesome personality. We will talk to Bec about her decision to get into the sport of MMA and what made her decide to make her pro debut just a mere 10 months after having a baby. Bec is from Australia and we will talk about her home country and some of the things she misses most about the land down under. We will talk to Bec about the decision to join this season of The Ultimate Fighter and making the move to the U.S. and how the transition has been for her. Bec is a part of the ever growing stable of top ranked fighters at Alliance MMA, we will get her thoughts on how training has changed and how the move has benefited her and her style. Bec didn’t get her nickname Rowdy for being your average run of the mill girl, and don’t expect an average interview either. Follow Bec on Twitter @RowdyBec
Our last guest has no problem being the last man standing and in Inglewood on June 21, Joe Schilling will try to do just that at Glory 17. Joe will be competing in Glory’s Last Man Standing middleweight tournament. We will talk to Joe about not only being a part of such a stacked tournament, but what goes in to training for such an event as opposed to just another fight. Joe already know what it takes to win a tournament like this as he did it at Glory 10. We will talk to Joe about how things are going at The Yard, his goals for the rest of the year inside the sport, and how the level of competition has changed, and how you just can’t stop crazy. Joe is one of those fighters that always puts on an action packed fight and this one will be no different as he takes on Simon Marcus. We will talk to Joe about fighting Simon for the third time and how this time will be the charm. Get over to Twitter and follow Joe @Joeschilling3.
