When it comes to practitioners and instructors in the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and the overall grappling world, none are quite as unique as 10th Planet Jiu-Jitsu founder, Eddie Bravo.
The third degree BJJ black belt has competed in countless competitions over the years and won championships at the highest level. With 10th Planet gyms all over the world now, Bravo has many notable students that he trains. Arguably the most notable being the perennial top lightweight contender and former interim champion, Tony Ferguson.
On the flipside of things, Bravo is one of the most entertaining personalities in the Jiu-Jitsu community on and off the mats.
As a long time friend of UFC color commentator and comedian, Joe Rogan’s, Bravo has gotten to express himself to a worldwide audience on numerous occasions when appearing on Rogan’s podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience.
Bravo has become famous for his open-mindedness and many different beliefs in regards to possible conspiracy theories. Unfortunately for the 48-year old submission wizard, it appears that he recently got into it with someone just for sharing his thoughts. However, ‘Edgy Brah’ was able to make light of the situation as he shared on Instagram over the weekend.

“From across the street some guy yelled ‘F*ck flat earth Asshole!!’ So I ran up to him and said right to his face ‘Say it now foo’ He then socked me right in the eye and as I lay on the ground in a haze wondering what the f*ck just happened, I began to realize he must be one of those mma cage guys so I immediately and profusely began to apologize, I told him I was sorry af, pleaded with him to stop hitting me, I told him he was right and that we live on a spinning ball and everything. Then I turned around and took the f*ck off running like a f*cking cheetah chasing it’s prey. 60 miles an hour of pure death killing machine. No gazelle would have stood a chance. Don’t mean to brag, just being hella honest” Eddie Bravo’s post read.
For one of his star pupils in the aforementioned Ferguson, he’ll be taking on the resurgent Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone at UFC 238 on June 8 in Chicago, Illinois.
