Eddie Alvarez became the UFC lightweight champion in devastating fashion when he put a beating on Rafael dos Anjos at UFC Fight Night 90.

Now that Alvarez holds the lightweight belt, the target has been placed on the Philadelphia native and he has been getting called out from some contenders in the lightweight division.

However, with Alvarez taking the belt from dos Anjos exactly one week ago today, it seems like the champion isn’t exactly in a rush to get back in the gym.

Alvarez tweeted on Thursday following Wednesday’s UFC Fight Night 91, “Auto Response: @TonyFergusonXT @TeamKhabib Out of the office right now sipping pina colada’s I get back to You At “My” earliest convenience.”
