UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier is fresh off of his unanimous decision win over Anderson Silva on the main card of UFC 200. Cormier was initially slated to defend his light heavyweight title against Jon Jones at the event, however Jones was pulled from the card just two days before the event due to a potential USADA Anti-Doping Violation.
With no timetable for Jones’ return to the Octagon, Cormier is looking to fight the winner of Anthony Johnson vs. Glover Teixeira, which takes place at UFC 202 on August 20th.
Cormier spoke on UFC Tonight:
Cormier: I'm going to fight the winner of Teixeira vs. Johnson. I don't care if Jon Jones comes back. I'm not going to reward him.
