During Friday’s UFC 200 press conference, UFC president Dana White was asked to comment on top lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov’s recent statement that he was offered a fight with Georges St. Pierre for July’s UFC 200 event in Las Vegas.
The UFC president seemed rather shocked by the question, which prompted him to respond with the following:
“What? To the best of my knowledge that is completely inaccurate. Yea… I was not in that meeting.”
Khabib is coming off a TKO victory over Darrell Horcher which he earned earlier this month at UFC on FOX 19.
The top lightweight contender revealed in a recent interview that the UFC had offered him fights with both GSP and Nate Diaz for July’s UFC 200 event.
