Earlier this year, in the buildup to UFC 202, rivals Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz got into a heated press conference altercation. While no blows were thrown, plenty of bottles were.

On Monday, the Nevada State Athletic Commission handed McGregor his punishment for this unsightly incident. The commission slammed down the hammer by fining the Irishman $150,000 (5% of his purse), sentencing him to 50 hours of community service, and forcing him to participate in an anti-bullying campaign. It was also briefly suggested during the hearing that McGregor participate in “media training” – whatever the hell that is.

In the wake of McGregor’s hearing, Fox Sports’ Jay Onrait and Dan O’Toole took to their official Twitter with a hilarious clip of the Irishman’s trip to a fictional “media manners academy.” Watch that clip above.

Having evened the score with Diaz at UFC 202, McGregor now has his sights set on a lightweight title fight with Eddie Alvarez. The bout will occur at UFC 205, on November 12 in New York City.

Unfortunately McGregor’s trip to Jay and Dan’s media manners academy doesn’t appear to have been fruitful. The buildup to UFC 205 has already been highlighted by plenty of trash talk from McGregor and Alvarez, and that trash talk is bound to continue until the cage door closes on November 12.
