Betting Odds Released on Every Potential Conor McGregor Opponent

Conor Mcgregor

Conor McGregor has gone on record saying that he’ll be returning to the fighting game in the Spring of 2018, but we’re not holding our breath. Both Manny Pacquiao and Tony Ferguson both say they are in negotiations to fight the man around April, one to compete in a multi-million dollar boxing match and the other to unify the UFC lightweight titles. Even though those are two big fights, we know the options reach far beyond that. From MMA to multiple boxing bouts, here are the odds of all the potential fights McGregor can choose from via Justin Hartling on Twitter.

Betting Odds

+130 vs GSP

-245 vs Nate Diaz

-175 vs Tony Ferguson

+135 vs Tyron Woodley

+120 vs De La Hoya (Boxing)

+135 vs Malignaggi (Boxing)

+420 vs Pacquiao (Boxing)

+1000 vs Mayweather (Boxing)

Even though Conor McGregor held his own for half of the fight with Floyd Mayweather, the odds have him as the underdog against all of his potential boxing opponents, including settling the grudge with Paul Malignaggi. That’s not all, he only enjoys the favorite spot against two out of four possible UFC match-ups. Conor McGregor is the favorite to win in fights between current interim lightweight champ Tony Ferguson and in the trilogy fight with Nate Diaz, but is the underdog in bouts against welterweight champ Tyron Woodley and former middleweight belt holder Georges St-Pierre.

“My focus is getting back into the right ring or octagon. 2017 was historic. I have transcended both the sport of MMA and boxing. At this stage of my career, as it has been for the majority of my UFC career, potential opponents must lobby for fights with me. We could see Conor McGregor anywhere. I run the fight game, the fashion game, the whiskey game, or whatever the next business endeavor might be. I have every intention of fighting in 2018 if my compensation and business development endeavors accurately reflect my influence on combat sports.” — Conor McGregor speaking to Betsafe via The Mac Life.
