The latest recipient of UFC interim welterweight champion Colby Covington’s venomous trash talk is former UFC welterweight champion Matt Serra, who was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame last night.
Covington shared his thoughts on Serra in a multi-Tweet cannonade on Thursday evening.
SERRA,
You need a rearview mirror with a TELESCOPE attached to see the days when you were slapping anybodyYou're IRRELEVANT.

You're just another short, fat, bald obnoxious guy from Long Island with a failing business, big mouth and little dick.

“SERRA, You need a rearview mirror with a TELESCOPE attached to see the days when you were slapping anybody,” Covington said in his first Tweet about Serra. “You’re IRRELEVANT.”
“You’re just another short, fat, bald obnoxious guy from Long Island with a failing business, big mouth and little dick,” Covington continued in a second Tweet.
“More people have walked on the moon than listened to your podcast. You are Dana’s Farnsworth Bentley, go hold his umbrella.”
“Your nickname is now…. The MUMBLING DUMPLING,” Covington concluded in his final anti-Serra Tweet.
Needless to say, Covington is clearly not a fan of the new UFC Hall of Fame inductee.
Colby Covington last fought in June, when he defeated Rafael dos Anjos in the co-main event of UFC 225, capturing the UFC interim welterweight belt in the process. He can now look forward to a title-unifying showdown with his arch rival, undisputed UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. The bout is not yet scheduled, but is likely to occur before the year is out.
Matt Serra, who is now a coach to many UFC stars and the co-host of the UFC Unfiltered Podcast, retired from competition after a 2010 loss to Chris Lytle. Serra, who won season four of the Ultimate Fighter, is best remembered for his history-making upset of then UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre. Serra fans will also remember his rivalry with Matt Hughes, and victories over Yves Edwards, Chris Lytle and Frank Trigg.
What do you think of Colby Covington’s verbal attack on Matt Serra?
