Earlier this month Mickey Gall made his UFC debut against Mike Jackson. Gall went out and submitted Jackson in just 45 seconds to earn himself a fight against CM Punk at UFC 200.
In the days following the bout it was announced that Punk would need to undergo back surgery and would be out for 4-6 weeks. While the MMA world went into panic mode that Punk may not end up making his UFC debut, Gall revealed that the fight was still on, however it likely wouldn’t be at UFC 200.
Gall spoke to Fox Sports to discuss the bout, and how he feels it will go down when the pair do fight:
“Same prediction. I still finish him in the first round. It will probably be a little longer than this one. I’d be surprised if it was less than 45 seconds, but it’s possible. But I’m going to say a first-round finish.”
