In a few short weeks, top-ranked UFC flyweight Ian “Uncle Creepy” McCall will travel to Belfast, Northern Island. Once he’s landed on the Emerald Isle, he’ll look to topple talented veteran Neil Seery and wedge himself firmly back into the flyweight title picture.
Before McCall makes this trip across the Atlantic, however, he’ll be partaking in a bit of philanthropy. He’ll do so through Direct Endorsement, an organization he’s a partner in, and one that strives to “raise money for charities all across the world by hosting athletes, celebrities and musicians of all genres.” These events stream live on DirectEndorsement.com, and allow for plenty of fan interaction through a live chat feature.
Here’s the rundown on McCall’s latest endeavor with the organization!
The mustachioed flyweight will serve as the host of a live-streaming charity awareness event on Saturday, October 29 at 3:00pm PT, 6:00pm ET. The event will see former UFC light heavyweight champion, UFC Hall of Famer, and all-around MMA legend Chuck Liddell doing a live autograph signing, while McCall facilitates a live question and answer session with the fans. During this event, the pair will also be joined by special guest Erik Apple, a retired mixed martial artist with experience in the Strikeforce and WEC cages, and an acting credit in the acclaimed 2011 fight film Warrior. The end goal? To shine the spotlight on an amazing charity that will be introduced during the live stream. To learn more, you’ll simply have to tune in!
When asked for a reason as to why fans should join the fun, McCall’s response was short and sweet:
“Because Chuck Liddell is a legend!”
