One of the MMA world’s most entertaining and fan-friendly fighters to watch has always been “the Natural Born Killer” Carlos Condit.

Unfortunately for Condit, he’s visibly been on a downward trend in terms of his success recently. Since 2012, the former interim UFC welterweight champion and former WEC welterweight champion, Condit has gone 2-7 in his last 9 and currently rides the worst skid of his career with 4 straight losses, 2 of those that saw him being finished(both by submission).

There was plenty of speculation after Condit’s August 2016 loss to Demian Maia on whether or not that was the last we’d seen of the thrilling 170 pounder. Condit would end up returning over a year later to face Neil Magny then Alex Oliveira this past month.

The Oliveira fight really felt like the icing on the top of the end of what has been a great career. But ESPN reports that Condit’s management group, First Round Management, told them that he does indeed plan on fighting again and hopes to get a fight in November or December.

Of Condit’s 30 professional victories, only two of them have gone to a decision. The rest being 15 knockouts and 13 submissions.

Although Condit fought Oliveira his last time out, that wasn’t the original case. Condit’s initial opponent for UFC on Fox 29 in Glendale, Arizona was supposed to be “The Immortal” Matt Brown. That was until Brown suffered a torn ACL that pulled him from the fight and making it the second time he has been forced out of a bout with the Natural Born Killer.

A fight that surely plenty of fans would still love to see is that matchup with Brown and depending on how fast he can recover, that December date could end up working. ACL injuries are no joke though so it would be rather optimistic thinking.
