Scott Coker breaks down his first year as Bellator Boss

Bellator CEO Scott Coker talks Reebok

It has been just over a year since Scott Coker marched in to Bellator and turned it into the company it is today. Gone are the days of seasons and tournaments; Bellator operates just like any other mainstream mixed martial arts company would with regular numbered shows and super-cards.

Coker recently sat down to discuss his first year with Bellator in an interview you can check out below

The tournament format the company originally took on under the influence of former CEO and founder Bjorn Rebney helped the company stand out and fans were concerned Bellator would lose its individuality if Coker changed that. Bellator remains a company of its own and stands out in a variety of ways, be it wacky superfights or “super cards” such as September’s “Dynamite”.

Do you think Bellator was better off with the season/tournament format, or is Coker taking the company in the right direction? Share your thoughts in the comment section below!
