A welterweight scrap between bitter rivals Paul Daley and Michael Venom Page served as the headliner of tonight’s Bellator 216 event in Uncasville, Connecticut.
Michael Venom Page entered tonight’s Bellator 216 headliner sporting a perfect professional record of thirteen wins and no losses.
In his most recent effort at Bellator 200, “MVP” picked up a second-round TKO victory over David Rickels.
As for Paul Daley, “Semtex” entered his fight with Page looking to rebound, this after suffering a unanimous decision loss to Jon Fitch in his most recent outing.
Tonight’s fight failed to live up to the hype as both Daley and Page seemed tentative to throw strikes throughout their twenty-five minute tilt.
Daley actually resorted to wrestling but was unable to land any significant damage on “MVP”.
Michael Venom Page would get the better of Daley in the fifth and final round which resulted in a unanimous decision victory from the judges in attendance, 48-47 on all three scorecards.
