Mixed martial arts legend Mirko Cro Cop (37-11-2 MMA) will make his Bellator MMA debut on February 16 against fellow veteran and knockout artist Roy Nelson.
The bout will serve as a rematch, as Cro Cop and Nelson first met back at UFC 137 in October of 2011, with “Big Country” emerging victorious by way of TKO in round three.
Now 44-years-old and riding a nine-fight win streak, Mirko Cro Cop appears to be in absolutely phenomenal shape ahead of his Bellator debut.
Cro Cop was last seen in action at RIZIN 13 where he scored a first-round TKO victory Roque Martinez.
The feared striker, Cro Cop, last tasted defeat way back in November of 2013 when he was submitted by Oleksiy Oliynyk.
Meanwhile, Roy Nelson will enter his rematch with Cro Cop looking to rebound after losing his past two fights. In his most recent appearance at Bellator 207, “Big Country” suffered a first-round knockout loss to Sergei Kharitonov.
Roy Nelson (23-16 MMA) has gone 3-7 over his past ten contests.
Bellator 216 takes place February 16 in Uncasville, Connecticut.
The event is headlined by a highly anticipated welterweight fight between bitter rivals Paul Daley and Michael “Venom” Page.
Also featured on the card is a heavyweight title eliminator bout between Vitaly Minakov and Cheick Kongo.
