A catchweight bout (175-pounds) between Dillon Danis and Max Humphrey took place on the main card of tonight’s Bellator 222 event in New York City.
Danis returned to the cage for the first time since Bellator 198, where he scored a first round victory over Kyle Walker in his mixed martial arts debut.
Dillon Danis was forced to the sidelines after being suspended by the NSAC for his involvement in the post-fight brawl at UFC 229.
Meanwhile, Max Humphrey entered tonight’s contest with an overall record of 3-2. In his most recent effort in August of 2018, Max suffered a 16-second knockout loss.
Round one begins and Dillon Danis immediately shoots in for a takedown. It’s stuffed. A second attempt from Danis and this time he takes Humphrey’s to the floor. Danis with big shots from the top. Max is turtling up and this is close to being stopped. Dillon moves to the back of Humphrey’s. He looks for a choke but it is not there.
