VIDEO | Al Iaquinta shares his angle from the Conor McGregor bus attack
Earlier this month former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion Conor McGregor and his entourage stormed the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn where they launched an attack on the UFC Fighters Bus.
According to MMAFighting’s Ariel Helwani, the target of McGregor’s now infamous “bus attack” was undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. “The Eagle” was involved in a heated altercation with one of McGregor’s teammates Artem Lobov just days before the bus attack occured, which apparently had the Irishman fuming for revenge.
Al Iaquinta, who stepped up on short-notice to fight Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 223, recently shared his footage from the Conor McGregor “bus attack” (see the above video).
“Raging” Al would end up suffering a unanimous deciison loss to “The Eagle” at UFC 223, but his stock would only rise in defeat.
Conor McGregor would eventually surrender to the NYPD for his involvement in the bus attack which left two fighters injured.
“Mystic Mac” was later released on bail.
