Weigh-in scuffles seem to be as much a much a part of MMA as knockouts or submissions. This afternoon, at the weigh-in ceremony for tomorrow night’s ACB 87 card, which goes down in Nottingham, England, we got another one of these classic , weigh-in altercations.
This time around, the culprits were ACB 87 headliners Robert Whiteford and Kane Mousah. It was clear from the get-go that there was some tension between these two featherweights, and when they came face to face, that tension came to a head. Mousah’s hat could be seen prodding Whiteford’s bridge of the nose, at which point the Scotsman Whiteford went for a shove. Luckily, veteran referee Herb Dean and ACB commentator Frank Mir were on scene to keep this skirmish from evolving into a full-blown scrap.

Whiteford, who once fought in the UFC, has gone 2-0 since leaving the promotion, defeating Kevin Petshi and Nam Phan under the ACB banner. He’s 14-4 overall.
His opponent Mousah, meanwhile, boasts a solid 10-1 record. His lone professional loss came courtesy of a name you might recognize: UFC star “Bone Crusher” Marc Diakiese.
After seeing the heat between these two main event fighters, will you be tuning in for ACB 87 tomorrow? It’s going to be a good one.
