Twitter is basically the UFC’s 24-hour a day press conference for fights that are and could never happen. Some fights are born and bred by social media. Just recently, Daniel Cormier let Volkan Oezdemir that he wants him to have the next shot based off of Twitter responses. However, a fight between Paul Malignaggi and Chase Sherman may never happen, but that won’t stop them from digging into each other on Twitter. We bet you thought this was going to be about Conor McGregor, but nope. Good ol’ GIF master Chase Sherman.

It was just last week that McGregor’s coach revealed he wanted to fight Paul Malignaggi in the UFC, it seems like Malignaggi still wants him to put his money where his mouth is in a boxing match. However, we don’t see him wanting to fight Chase Sherman — who is also a UFC heavyweight — anytime soon. Stranger things have definitely happened though. We once would have never thought Conor would box Floyd Mayweather and it happened.

Either way, let’s just sit back and enjoy the banter which won’t result in a booking by the UFC. It’s honestly worth it to keep a lock on Chase Sherman’s Twitter account based on his GIF usage alone. He’s quickly becoming one of the more entertaining MMA Twitter accounts on the internet.
